VDO 600°F Cylinder Head Temperature Sender 14mm

Repacement sender for use with VDO Cylinder Head Temperature gauge. Please refer to our technical article for recommendations on installation of the CHT sender.

This product has been changed by VDO. The original design sender is no longer available, and in its place VDO now supplies a different product. This new design sender is an improvement in several ways, but creates issues on other fronts. The new style sender will not plug into an existing harness, in order to use the new sender you must also replace the harness between gauge and sender. This product number now comes complete with the replacement harness. We are working on a pigtail connector to allow use of the new style sender with an older CHT gauge but for the time being this is all we are able to get from VDO.

We feel the new sender is an improvement to the old one in several ways: it eliminates the issue of possibly reversing the harness wires, it is a more secure connection at the gauge, and the wire sheath is improved and no longer has the cloth cover which was prone to fraying. The down side is having the replace the harness, which might be inconvenient. Cost has not increased over the original 323 701 which was only the sender itself.
