Q: What is germansupply.com’s specialty?

A: We specialize in service repair kits for vintage VW vehicles. Our fuel line kits and other repair kits make repair operations easy since all the items needed for the job are collected in a single product. We supply parts and kits for all air-cooled Volkswagens, but our primary focus are repair kits and parts for Bus from '68-'79.

Q: What makes germansupply.com different from other retailers in the vintage VW space?

A: We strive to sell only the best quality parts available. Our industrial/product design and engineering backgrounds make us uniquely qualified to identify the best quality manufacturing processes and end products. We normally sell only OEM quality parts or equivalent, unless no OEM quality is available.

Q: Where are the products you sell manufactured?

A: The products we sell are manufactured all over the world. We endevour to identify country of manufacture in the product listing page. While German-made products from original OEMs are almost always the best choice for your vintage VW, German made options are not always available.

Q: I'm not computer friendly, and I don't like ordering on websites, can I place my order on the phone?

A: Yes. Call us during business hours and we will aid in product selection and process a manual order to suit your needs.

A: Store pickups and visits are Monday-Friday by appointment, please email and/or call before you come. We are open on select Saturdays starting 2 weeks after Easter, which in 2020 is April 25, until Canadian Thanksgiving.

Q: Do you have parts not listed on the website?

A: Yes, lots. We have an inventory of NOS and used parts that are not listed on the website. If you need a specific part, send an email or give us a call – we might just have what you need.

Q: How do I get the correct part if my vehicle has been modified from stock?

A: Please call us during business hours if you have specific needs. We can customize our kits or assist you in finding the correct parts.

Q: Does germansupply.com carry body panels or trim?

A: We do not carry these parts at this time.

Q: Why buy a used part, if a new aftermarket part is available?

A: In some instances, a used original (most often made in Germany) part is preferable to a poorly made new part. We sell used parts in good condition and will not sell anything we would not put on our own vehicle. Whenever possible, used parts are tested. Used parts, however are sold “as is” and are final sale.
