An indispensible tool for front end work. This is a very good Taiwan made reproduction of the German made 779-1. Don't let the fact that this tool is made in Taiwan fool you, it is very nicely forged from high quality steel. Two clamping stages. Perfect for removing the balljoints from the steering knuckle on balljoint front end Bus, Beetle, Ghia. Separates tie-rods easily and without damage to the rubber boot. Can also be used on Bus balljoints but we had to grind our own shop tool slightly to make it fit over the joint. Useful for many other European vehicle applications. This tool will pay for itself the first time you use it.
